PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow the possessor to recognize missing of a portable telephone set by warning the missing of the portable telephone set to the possessor while preventing the use of the portable telephone set without permission by a 3rd party by limiting the use of the portable telephone set in the case that the portable telephone set is left from the possessor due to the mislaid or stolen portable telephone set. SOLUTION: The use limit device is made up of an identification signal transmission unit 10 and a use limit release unit provided integrally with a use limit object device, both the units are provided with a transmission device and a reception device, an identification code signal from the transmission unit 10 is received by a release unit and a use limit release signal is outputted based on the signal. The transmission unit 10 discriminates a normal state when a sent-back confirmation code signal is present and the release unit stops a release signal because the reception level is decreased when both the units are parted by a prescribed distance and the transmission unit 10 provides warning.
