A closed thermally insulated volume, with its own heat supply and food supports is contained in a transportable box.- DETAILED DESCRIPTION - The container consist of a rigid closeable box (2) having a cover (3). The internal faces of the box (2) and cover (3) are fitted with a partition (4) of thermally insulating material.The partitions (4) are shaped to form a volume (7) which is closed when the box (2) is closed by the cover (3). The heating system (6) and the supports (5), for the products whose heat is to be conserved, are arranged in the working volume (7). The supports (5) are shaped to permit diffusion of the heat within the working volume. A part of the surface of the insulating partition is covered with a layer of stratified material (8). The electrical supply to the heating system is taken from an electrical network or an automobiles cigar lighter (19)
