PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method for the backing-up data of a built-in timepiece by which a relatively long power supply service interruption can be coped with without increasing the weight of the timepiece nor increasing the cost of the timepiece. SOLUTION: The time which is 30 minutes earlier than a reference time at which correct-time casting is made is set in a just timepiece monitor starting time detecting section 3 as a just timepiece monitor starting time. A time data adding section 1 counts the time of a built-in timepiece at every second and writes the then counted time in a memory 2. When the time of the built-in timepiece written in the memory 2 reaches a set just timepiece monitoring time, a correct-time casting signal detecting section 4 detects a correct-time casting signal which informs the then reference time. When the section 4 detects the signal, a time setting control section 5 corrects the then time of the built-in timepiece written in the memory 2 by the cast reference time. When the built-in timepiece is put right in such a way, the backing-up time of the data of the built-in timepiece can be extended substantially. |
