PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the catching of a window extremely minutely with high accuracy without increasing the memory capacity of a memory. SOLUTION: The detecting device for the catching of a power window device has a window open-close motor 4, a motor driving section 3, a pulse generating section 5, an MCU 2 and a manually operated switch 1, and the MCU 2 detects a parameter value displaying motor load applied to a window when the window is opened and closed, compares the parameter value and a preset reference central value and decides the catching of the window when the parameter value is deviated from the reference central value by considerable quantity. The whole moving range of the window is divided equally into a plurality of divided moving regions at that time, reference central values are set at every divided moving region, the reference central values set in the divided moving regions are used in the first-half regions of the divided moving regions, and a supplementary reference central value obtained by levelling the reference central values set in the divided moving regions and the reference central values set in the divided moving regions continuing to the divided moving regions is employed in the second-half regions of the divided moving regions. |
