PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To interpose a thrust block between respective output shafts at the side of side gears while acguiring initial torque by a pressing means interposed between the side gears. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with a differential mechanism 3 connecting output side side-gears 35 and 37 by way of a pinion gear 33 supported over a pinion shaft 31 at a differential case 13 side, friction clutches 9 and 9 interposed between each gear 35 and 37 and the differential case 13, and with a pressing means 11 pressing the gears 35 and 37 to the side of each friction clutch 9 to provide initial torque, a pre-load spring 49 pressing the respective gears 35 and 37 to the side of each clutch 9 by way of the retainers 47 and 47 of the pressing means 11, and a retaining means 51 of the retainers 47 and 47, are formed into a ring shape, and a thrust block 53 is provided therein, in which let output shafts at the side of each gear 35 and 37 abut against the inner side in the radial direction of the aforesaid ring shape, and, by making use of a portion 59 penetrating through the side of a pinion shaft 31, the retaining means 51 connects the respective retainers 47 and 47 with each other so as to retain them.
