PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject promoter, having osteogenic promoting actions and useful as a therapeutic agent for osteoporosis by including a specific compound (salt) as an active ingredient therein. SOLUTION: This promoter is obtained by including a compound (salt) represented by formula I [W is H, amino, a lower alkoxycarbonyl, a cycloalkyl or the like; Y is O, NHCOO, NHCO, a single bond or the like; A-ring is represented by formula II to IV or the like; R<1> is H, a halogen, nitro, a lower alkyl or a lower alkoxy; R<2> is H or a lower alkyl; Z is a halogen, OH, a lower alkyl or the like; (m) is 0-20; (n) is 0-4] e.g. N-[2-(dimethylamino)ethyl]-4-(5- phenylpentyloxy)benzamide hydrochloride} as an active ingredient. The compound represented by formula I is obtained by a method for condensing, e.g. a hydroxy-substituted carboxylic acid ester compound with a hydroxylated compound according to the Mitsunobu reaction, then hydrolyzing the resultant compound and providing a carboxylic acid compound or the like. |
