<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the prevention of the error detection of an object caused by environmental changes around a sensor electrode by detecting the rate of the change of an electric signal at the time of detecting an object on the basis of capacitance formed between an electrode and the object and suspending the processing of object detection in the case that the detected speed of the change is out of a set range. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a sensor electrode for forming capacitance, an oscillating means to generate an electric signal VL, and a monitoring means OBD to detect changes in the electric signal VL due to the approach of an object. By this, at the time when the rate of the change of the electric signal VL is out of a set range, a correcting means 34 corrects the electric signal VL. The set range is set within the range of the rate of the change of the electric signal VL caused by the approach and withdrawal of a subject, the relation of the electric signal VL to the capacitance of the sensor electrode is corrected at the time of the occurrence of environmental changes except for the subject, and the possibility of detecting environmental changes falsely is reduced.</p> |
