The buffing wheel head includes a buffing wheel (2) connected to a first support plate (14) rotated by a pin (3). This support plate oscillates about an axis perpendicular to the pin axis (A-A). The buffing wheel is carried by a second support plate (19) extending parallel to the first plate and oscillating freely on it about an axis perpendicular to that of the first plate. Springs (21) are regularly placed between the two plates on either side of the oscillation axis of the second plate.
