Mirror (20) is placed in mold (30). A moving slide (38) is located initially around the edges of the insert, to keep injected plastic away from mirror edges and face (20A). Injected plastic forms lid body (14) which is allowed to cool and set. The slide is retracted from the insert, freeing a peripheral region into which plastic is injected, to form a surrounding frame (24) to retain the mirror.- DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a box with internal mirror in the lid, made as described.- Preferred features: A mold section (36) guards the flat mirror face from plastic injected for the frame, following slide retraction. It allows the injected plastic of the frame to overlap the mirror face, for retention. Different plastics are used. The slide and mirror may be cylindrical.
