PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a synthetic wood excellent in heat resistance and capable of substituting a natural wood used in a terrace, etc. by compounding a flame retardant with a synthetic resin. SOLUTION: This synthetic wood is obtained by compounding (A) a synthetic resin layer consisting of a foaming synthetic resin with (B) 10-60 wt.% inorganic or organic flame retardant (e.g.: antimony trioxide). Further, in the component (A), it is preferable to blend 1.5-5 pt.wt. blowing agent (e.g.; oxy-bis- benzenesulfonylhydrazide) and 10-50 pt.wt. wood powder based on 100 pts.wt. resin (e.g.; a low density polyethylene) and also, to use 15-30 pt.wt. filler e.g. calcium carbonate based on 100 pts.wt. synthetic resin. |
