<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas purifying device in an internal combustion engine, which can use heat escaping from a heater in a direction opposite to a filter, as an energy for firing particulate for which highest energy is required. SOLUTION: An exhaust gas purifying device has such a structure that a reflecting panel 10 located upstream of an electric heater 4 is made of metal so as to have a heat reflecting surface 11 for reflecting heat from the electric heater 4, directly onto the inflow end of a particulate filter 5, and accordingly, during energization of the electric heater 4, heat B escaping from the heater 4 in a direction opposite to the filter 5, is directed to the inflow end of the particulate filter under the reflecting action of the reflecting surface 11.</p> |
