PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a vegetation mat which is free of pollution problem by attaching a sheet to which an aggregated agent or water purifying agent is adhered with water-soluble paper cloth pieces to one surface of rough palm net, and further cloth pieces or net-shaped body is overlapped and sewed. SOLUTION: A mat M comprised a sheet 4 made of palm net 1 and paper cloth pieces 2, 3, and is attached and sewed to a net shaped body 6 containing an aggregating agent and/or a water purification agent 5 with sewing thread 7 in one united body. Diameter of the raw material of the Palmae net 1 to 10 mm, and 5 to 15 pieces are used per 10×10 cm. Two sheets of water-soluble or hydrolytic paper cloth pieces 2, 3 are Bonric(R) paper or the like. Sewing thread 7 thread of biodegradable resin fiber, hemp thread or anticorrosive polyester thread or the like. Raw material for net body 6 is corrosive hessian cloth or cotton cloth. When the mat M is laid on the face of slope in a region easy access to water, natural vegetation can be made possible without causing contamination thereby achieving environmental protection.
