PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling bearing which can reduce a producing cost while keeping the service life with thread rolling fatigue resistance of a bearing and can restrain the abnormal wear and the burning in a flange part of the rolling bearing caused by friction wear. SOLUTION: In the rolling bearing, at least the flange part is composed of a blank consisting essentially of graphite, cementite and ferrite, and in the bearing finish product after heat treatment, the graphite as uniformly dispersed so that the average grain diameter of the graphite is 1-5μm and the total content of the graphite becomes 0.1-2.5% in the area ratio. In the flange part in a bearing ring or a spherical surface bearing, etc., the abnormal wear with a sliding movement is easily developed, but at the time of uniformly dispersing the graphite having >=1μm average grain diameter at >=0.1% area ratio, the wear at the time of initial stage is reduced caused by the lubricating effect with the graphite itself. Further, after falling down the. graphite, fine pit is formed thereat and a remarkable effect to restrain the friction wear caused by M-EHL effect for holding lubricator, is displayed.
