摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject new compound hardly volatilizing and escaping, providing high stability against a photodegradation for a high molecular compound, excellent in compatibility with a substrate, having extremely large ultraviolet absorptivity and molecular extinction coefficient in a UV-A region. SOLUTION: The subject new compound is a compound of formula I (R<1> to R<4> are each H, an alkyl or a cycloalkyl), e.g.β-[N-(methylene-1,3,5- trihydro-1,3-dimethyl-2,4,6-trioxo-pyrimidinyl) ] aminoethyl 4-[N-(methylene-1,3,5- trihydro-1,3-dimethyl-2,4,6-trioxo-pyrimidinyl)]aminobenzoate. The compound of formula I is preferably obtained by reacting an aminomethylenepyrimidinecarboxylic acid derivative of formula II with a halogenated pyrimidine derivative of formula III (X is a halogen) in an organic solvent (e.g. dimethylformamide and dimethylacetamide) preferably at 90-140 deg.C.
