PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To modify a soil generated by construction into the soil having a strength capable of enabling backfilling by adding small amount of natural polymer-based solidifying agent to the weak soil generated by construction, and having high viscosity to dissolve the solidifying agent in free water, stirring the soil with the solidifying agent to form aggregate, and further adding a stabilizer thereto. SOLUTION: A natural polymer-based solidifying agent (e.g. a copolymer of an acrylamide and sodium acrylate) is added to soil particles 1 floating in free water 2, comprising a clayey generated soil having high water content and organic concentration, and sludge to allow the free water 2 to be absorbed, and the added product is stirred to allow the surfaces of the soil particles to be coated with pseudo fixed water 3. Because the copolymer has coagulating activities, the granulation of the soil particles 1 proceeds by the stirring to form dumpling-like lumps 4. When lime is added thereto as a stabilizer, coating membranes 5 are formed on the surfaces of the dumpling-like lumps 4, and the coating membranes 5 react with water to provide hydrated lime. As the result, a pozzolan reaction proceeds, the strength of the dumpling-like lump 4 is increased, and the soil becomes the improved soil by further stirring. |
