PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the attraction with a counter member and to facilitate the washing of a groove bottom part by smoothing the bottom surface of one dynamic pressure generating groove of fixed and rotating members, forming a number of dimple-like recessed parts on a hill part surface between the grooves, and flattening the hill part surface other than the recessed parts. SOLUTION: A member 2a is pressed in a direction A by a metal mold S1 having a hill part 10 between a plurality of grooves 12. The hill part 10 has a mirror finished surface-like smooth surface of about 0.3μm, and a number of protruding parts 14 are formed on the bottom surface 13 of the groove 12. The member 2a thus has a groove bottom surface 5 consisting of a mirror finished surface-like smooth surface of about 0. 3μm. A number of dimple-like recessed parts 7 are also formed on the surface of a hill part 6 between a plurality of grooves 4. The hill part 6 surface is pressed in a direction B by a metal mold S2 having a smooth surface to form a dynamic pressure generating groove in which the hill part 6 surface other than the recessed parts 7 consists of a flat surface 8. Thus, the attraction with a counter member is prevented by the recessed parts for fluid basin of the hill part, and the washing is facilitated because the groove bottom surface is smoothed.
