Several different radio signals may be used to indicate fixed or mobile hazards for local motorists.- DETAILED DESCRIPTION - The warning system uses a radio link which is established between a transmitter placed in a hazardous region on the road, and a receiver mounted in the cab of vehicles traveling on the road. Signals can be transmitted to indicate the necessity to brake or change direction. The receiver transforms the received radio signal into a warning sound signal audible to the vehicle driver. The tones may vary in both pitch and duration to indicate these varying qualities
