<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shock absorbing material for a stair of a house which can be mounted extremely easily and produces good soundproof effects. SOLUTION: In the stair of a house, the upper end 2a of a nearly vertical riser 2 is fitted into a groove la formed in the underside of a nearly horizontal tread-board 1 to form a set of a tread-board 1 and a riser 2. A plurality of sets are stacked, one on another, into a stepped form, wherein the lower part 2b of the riser 2 is connected to each of vertically adjoining tread-boards 1. In this case, a buffer material made of a rubber sponge material 10 is inserted into the groove 1a of the tread board 1 so as to keep its shape and when the riser 2 is fitted into the groove 1a, the upper end 2a of the riser 2 is covered with the shock absorbing material so that a gap is prevented from being produced between the underside of the tread-board 1 and the upper end 2a of the riser 2.</p> |
