<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material capable of detecting ozone more simply by combining a discoloring layer discolored by ozone with a non-discoloring layer free from being discolored by ozone under a specific condition free from being discolored due to ozone. SOLUTION: This indicator has a discoloring layer composed of an ozone detection ink discolored by ozone and a non-discoloring layer composed of an ink free from being discolored by ozone, and forms the discoloring layer or non-discoloring layer so that part or all of at least one discoloring layer is exposed to an ozone atmosphere. As a substrate, a wooden material, paper, plastics, and glass or the like are employed. As an ozone detection ink, potassium iodide and triphenylmethane-based leuco body or the like is employed. An ink containing an anthraquinone based dye having one kind of primary or secondary animo group is employed as an ozone detection ink, thereby making it possible to certainly detect an ozone with its low concentration. The ozone detection pigment preferably has a blend of 0.1 to 1 wt.%. Further, a resin based binder, thickener, and solvent or the like may be included. The non- discoloring layer employs an aqueous ink or the like.</p> |
