PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To drive an existing high pressure fuel pump accurately by an engine having no cam shaft by transmitting the rotation of a crank shaft to a pump input shaft of the high pressure fuel pump by a power transmission device through a power transmission converting part and providing an oil filling part in the power transmission converting part. SOLUTION: A V type 6 cylinder 2 cycle engine of an outboard motor has a cylinder body which is arranged longitudinally in a condition in which 6 cylinders are horizontally put to form V bank when viewed in a plan. A high pressure fuel pump 37 is arranged on a top face of this engine. The rotation of a driven pulley 44 which transmits the rotation of a crank shaft through a drive belt is transmitted to a pump input shaft 37e through a power transmission change part consisting of a vertical shaft 114, bevel gears 113, 117, and a horizontal shaft 110. The high pressure fuel pump 37 is driven due to the rotation of this pump input shaft 37e. Moreover, an oil filling part 119 is provided in the power transmission converting part to prevent the occurrence of vibration and noise due to the wear of the gears and a bearing. |
