PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a rolling oil capable of forming forced emulsion large in particle size when directly lubricated onto the surface of a roll and/or rolling material, and because of high adherability of the emulsion, capable of reducing the coefficient of friction between the roll surface and rolling material, by including a specific compound. SOLUTION: This rolling oil contains a mono- or polyoxyalkylene alkylamine fatty acid ester (hereafter, referred to as ester). The base oil for this rolling oil is, as the main component, pref. at least one kind selected from mineral oils, natural oil-and-fat, synthetic esters and polymerized fatty acid esters. The ester is pref. a compound of the formula; R<2> -CO-(OR<4> )n NR<1> -(R<5> O)m -H (R<1> and R<2> are each a 9-26C straight-chain or branched alkyl; R<4> and R<5> are each a 2-10C alkylene; (n) and (m) are 1-10). It is preferable that the contents of the base oil and the ester in this rolling oil are 65-99.99 wt.% and 0.05-3 wt.%, respectively. |
