PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the tubes from being warped or bent at the time of brazing while preventing the heat exchanging performance of a heat exchanger from lowering upon completion by holding a plurality of tubes in a specified arrangement on an auxiliary plate at the time of brazing a pair of tanks to the plurality of tubes. SOLUTION: At the time of manufacturing a multitubular heat exchanger 1 comprising a pair of tanks 2, 3 facing each other, and a plurality of tubes 4 extending across the tanks 2, 3 and conducting both tanks 2, 3 each other, an auxiliary plate 10 having a hole for passing the plurality of tubes 4 is disposed between the pair of tanks 2, 3 in the longitudinal center of the tube 4 in order to hold the plurality of tubes 4 while arranging specifically. The pair of tanks 2, 3 is then brazed to the tube 4 under that state and the auxiliary plate 10 is shifted to the tank 2, 3 side and secured thereto.
