An agent for the prevention or alleviation of allergy symptoms contains as an effective component a dioxabycyclo[3.3.0]octane derivative represented by the following general formula (I): <CHEM> where R<1>, R<2>, R<3>, R<4>, R<5> and R<6> each independently represent a hydrogen atom or alkyl group of 1-3 carbon atoms, or R<1> and R<2> and/or R<4> and R<5> together represent a methylene or ethylene group, and n, m and 1 represent 0 or 1. An agent for the prevention or alleviation of allergy symptoms also contains as an effective component an antioxidant in addition to the dioxabicyclo[3.3.0]octane derivative. |
