The cover (2) may consist of a rigid frame connected to a lifting mechanism (9-13). It is typically formed by modules plugging into each other and whose base surface matches the size of the swimming pool (1) or protrudes beyond it, while a sheet of heat-insulating material is fixed to the frame. The cover may be of conical or pyramidal shape and truncated. A solar-heating system, typically an absorbent hose (4) with a heating medium flowing through it, may be mounted on the top of the cover and connected to a swimming pool heater.
