The present invention relates to a control system that uses an electric motor which can be controlled through a final stage. A control circuit including a micro-processor is associated to the final stage and provides a pulse-width modulation control thereof. The control circuit comprises an overload stage for detecting an overload of the electric motor from the temperature thereof. According to this invention, the temperature of the electric motor is detected on the basis of a pulse-width modulation signal (16) from the control circuit (18).
