摘要 The method involves using e.g. thermal imaging cameras (7) or thermocouples to detect the heat arising at a leak caused by depressurization of fuel when it emerges from a leakage point. The cameras or thermocouples may be arranged in an array so as to monitor the pressure connection points (6) in an engine. A highly volatile medium may be introduced into a sealing gap and will evaporate if it contacts pressurized fuel i.e. when a leak is present. An Independent claim is included for a device for carrying out the above method.
