<p>Apparatus for treating a travelling fibre assembly, e.g. subsequent to scouring and carding of the assembly, or subsequent to combing of the assembly, includes means for retaining a shallow flowing liquid bath; and means to guide the fibre assembly through the bath whereby the shallow flowing liquid is effective to dislodge and/or rince away residual contaminants from the fibre assembly while reducing drag on the fibre assembly and so minimising the incidence of breaks in the fibre assembly.</p> |
