The air conditioning unit has a fan and a box containing a heat exchanger and the vaporizer of a cold-producing unit. There is a mixing cavity in the box. The vaporizer (11) and heat exchanger (12) are one above the other vertically. A cross wall (20) runs between them, dividing the intermediate cavity into two sectors (21, 22). The sector (21) in front of the vaporizer is connected to the fan output. The sector (22) in front of the heat exchanger is connected to the cold air channel (23) running past the vaporizer.
