Outer wrapper for flat products especially cassettes , compact discs

An outer wrapper (1) for flat items such as video cassettes, compact discs and books is formed by a shallow lower tray (2) and a cover (3) of the same dimensions. Each short side (5) in each part (2, 3) has two congruent apertures (10) through which a cord (22) is passed, looping a rectangular route through the two halves (2, 3) and holding them together. The openings in either the lateral sides or the longitudinal sides are of a size which corresponds approximately to the width of the cord.
