The invention concerns an air filter, specially an air intake filter for an internal combustion engine. Said filter consists specially of a hollow cylindrical filter body (10) made out of a zig-zag-shaped folded paper sheet. The filter body (10) has at least on one side a sealing collar (5), with which the filter body (10) is fixed as an insert in an air filter casing (2). The sealing collar (5) separates the raw air side from the pure air side and has a sealing lip (9). Moreover, a pre-sealing is provided, that has a narrow sealing border (12) to prevent dust or impurities from getting into the sealing area.
