Traffic warning detector for railway gang warning system

The traffic warning detector (12) has a distance sensor aligned transversely to the traffic path and a speed sensor directed to the traffic path under an angle piece. There are sensors working in contactless fashion in the form of distance radar and Doppler radar, located in the warning detector. The distance of the apparatus from the traffic path and the angle between the beams of the distance radar and Doppler radar are chosen so that both beams are intersected by the size of the object to be determined. A securely constructed logic circuit links the signals of the distance radar and Doppler radar.
