<p>The invention relates to a display device comprising one line (2a) of light points, drive means (3) for rotating the one line of light points in a direction transversely of the orientation direction of the light points on the line so that a surface of revolution is created, and control means (5) for controlling the light points. This device further comprises at least one further line of light points (2b) which is also rotated by the drive means (3). The display device is for use particularly as advertising pillar, wherein a plurality of differently formed surfaces of revolution show moving images.
