Described is an interior light (1), in particular a vehicle courtesy light, with at least one incandescent lamp (4) mounted behind a transparent cover panel (2) and supplied with electric power via contacts (5). In order to provide an interior light (1) of this kind which produces diffuse light free of glare, a reflector unit (18) is located behind the cover panel (2), the reflector unit having at least one optionally dimmable reflected-light beam forming unit (17) associated to a bore (16) through the cover panel (2).
