<p>An injection mold (10) for forming a pattern (P) for use in investment casting having mold sections (12, 13) carrying two pattern-forming surfaces (18, 19) and a translatable third pattern-forming element (21) movable on a mold section (16). The mold also includes an inner core (23). Parting lines (36, 37) are located at inconspicuous locations by sizing and shaping the mold sections. The method of use of the injection mold includes employing an arrangement for facilitating lower mold section (13) and for raising the inner core to facilitate its removal.</p> |
