The invention concerns a system for inspecting the fuselage, the wings and the engines of an aircraft on ground, for de-icing it and protecting it against icing manually or automatically using a computer. Said system and method, whether fixed or mobile, can also be remote-controlled or controlled by a computer equipped with a modem and a mobile telephone for transmitting data instructions, and digitised video images. It consists of several interconnected modules among which a central computer (1), several video cameras (2), a hydraulic ground power unit (3), an air compressor unit whereof some compressors are reversible into aspirators (4), a telescopic cantilever crane (5), a burner unit for heating the secondary air (6), three inflatable de-icing boots of variable length (7) for covering the aircraft equipped with video cameras and projectors at each end and comprising inside hot air nozzles for drying (8) and spray arms for spraying de-icing products (9), a stand-by electric generator unit (10), a reservoir of de-icing liquid equipped with a pump and a liquidometer (11), a centralised alarm system provided with automatic stop devices (12). |
