METHOD OF INSPECTING LEAKAGE OF INNER CONTAINER IN DOUBLE BLOW MOLDED BOTTLE BODY

A method of inspecting leakage of an inner container in a double blow molded bottle body of a synthetic resin, which can detect the presence of a hole or holes in the inner container being a content liquid storing section to provide a supply of bottle bodies of assured quality, and which comprises the steps of separating an inner container (3) from an outer container (2) and shrink-deforming the same to form a vent path (10) between the outer container (2) and the inner container (3) for communication with an opening (5), then supplying an air of a predetermined very small pressure into the inner container (3), and enabling judging of presence of a hole or holes in the inner container (3) depending upon whether or not a pressure in the inner container (3) after the elapse of a predetermined period of time reaches a predetermined pressure which has been beforehand set by measurement of a bottle body (1) containing an inner container (3) without holes under the same condition.
