Bus network for centralised control of devices within building

The bus network uses a bus line for linking a central control device (2), e.g. a television receiver, to several of controlled devices (3) within a building. Specific control software is incorporated within each controlled device. The control device has a display screen (2a) in which a main selection menu for selecting the controlled device is displayed, the control software within each device providing a second selection menu for the available control selections displayed on the screen.
