<p>The invention concerns a method for recording data in digital form, on an optical medium comprising a sensitive layer deposited on a substrate. Said sensitive layer is produced in a material selected among those having a lacunary ferrite spinel crystalline structure. The method comprises recording steps which consist in locally heating, and successively, the sensitive layer zones, at a temperature whereat said material undergoes an irreversible transformation in at least a second crystalline structure, so as to obtain transformed zones where the sensitive layer contains said second crystalline structure and non-transformed zones where the sensitive layer has a lacunary ferrite spinel structure. The resulting optical medium cannot be recorded on again. The recorded data can be read with optical means.</p> |
