The control device provides automatic operation of a wheel brake in dependence on the vehicle condition, using a flow switching valve (14) between the master braking cylinder (2) and a wheel cylinder (3'), for connecting the wheel cylinder to a pressure reservoir (15), which stores the hydraulic pressure of the wheel cylinder during normal braking and provides the braking pressure for automatic braking.
