A seal arrangement comprises a diagonal seal located in a pressurisable installation chamber with a right-angular cross-section. The chamber is bordered by a rotor and a stator. The stator surrounds the rotor concentrically. The diagonal seal (1) consists of two diagonally opposite sliding elements (9,10) with a triangular cross section, which contact the rotor (3) and stator (4). The sliding elements are supported by an elastomer material. The sliding elements preferably consist of PTFE.
