The base and tibial plate guides (22) define a center of rotation (C) which can be offset relative to tibial axis to allow the plate (3) to perform a sliding rotary movement relative to the base (2), with the guides positioned at a given distance from the axis of rotation. The guides are in the form of at least one curved rib projecting from the metal base and a recess with the same degree of curvature in the tibial plate. One guide rib can be located in the anterior section of the base in a medio-lateral position, while others can be located on or close to the center of rotation of the tibial plate on the metal base, and can be equipped with a device which prevents the tibial plate from lifting from the base.
