<p>PURPOSE:To provide a golf club head and a method for manufacturing the same wherein a face plate is easily mounted and never dropped out of a face part. CONSTITUTION:A face plate 47 is formed on the peripheral edge with a projection projecting toward the peripheral wall of a recess provided in a face part 43 of a head body 37, and a synthetic resin layer burying the projection is interposed between the face plate and recess. A golf club head is manufactured wherein the projection projecting to the peripheral wall side of the recess is provided in the peripheral part of the face plate 47 attached to the recess formed in the face part 43 of the head body 37, the face plate 47 is disposed in the recess to burry the projection in the synthetic resin layer and the face plate 47 is secured fixedly into the recess with the synthetic resin.</p> |
