<p>PURPOSE:To faithfully reproduce an original image by compressing the gradation image with high compressiblity and recording the image. CONSTITUTION:The original image which is equally divided into 32X32 cells has its OD value equally divided to 20 stages of density level width DELTAD at intervals of 0.05 from 0.0 to 1.0 to consider 20 rectangular prisms 1-1, 1-2...1-20 on each cell. In the rectangular prisms, a volume ratio Rv below a surface showing a density distribution is calculated and recorded and transmitted. Further, curved surfaces which cross rectangular prisms among the rectangular prisms 1-1...1-20 are reproduced on the basis of the Rv values of the rectangular prisms and the Rv values of rectangular prisms adjoining to external rectangular prisms and those curved surfaces are connected to reproduce the whole curved surface.</p> |
