The wheel axle includes two longitudinal supports (3) mounted at opposite ends of the cross support (2) and each connected to the vehicle superstructure by an articulated rod bearing (6). A coupling member (7) is mounted functionally between each longitudinal support and each bearing and interacts with the latter so that the strength of the longitudinal suspension of the articulated rod bearing is increased at least when lateral force acts on the wheel axle (1). The articulated rod bearing has a frequency-selective damping in the frequency range of the inherent vibration of the wheel axle during driving. |
