<p>In a method of fixing one or more elements (9) to a hollow square profile (7), the square profile is provided with holes which are closer to one longitudinal side than the opposite parallel one. The diameter of the holes is slightly larger than the diameter of the elements (8). The profiles are placed in a fixture, and the elements are pushed through the holes. One side of the profile is deformed in a V-shape with a bending rail, which has the same length as the profile, and with a force adapted such that the V-shape touches and clamps the elements without the profile being bent with respect to its longitudinal axis. The method is particularly useful for the making and assembling of antennas, preferably TV or FM antennas in the UHF or VHF range, which can now take place with much fewer operations than if e.g. brackets or screws are used for securing several elements to the boom.</p> |
