<p>The pivot between the wiper arm (12) and blade holder (24) incorporates anti-friction plates (32), each equipped with one or more elastic lugs projecting transversely relative to the plate's surface to take up clearances in the joint. The anti-friction plates, made e.g. from a molded plastics material, are attached to one of the two components of the wiper arm and blade pivot, and the lugs are applied against the other.
