PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lower the engine torque for preventing a vehicle from being turned unstable by increase of the driving force when shift-down is made for fail-safe while shift-down is made at the time of A/T high oil temperature, etc., as a countermeasure for A/T high oil temperature during manual shift running. SOLUTION: An automatic transmission 2 includes M-mode in which the engine power is fed and a manual shift as well as automatic is selectable, and during the M-mode running, judgement is made whether shift-down from the selected shift range is to be conducted, and if yes, shift-down is conducted forcedly by the first control means without manual selection of shift range by the driver, and at the time of shift-down, the second control means controls the output of the engine 1 so as to lower the engine torque temporarily. |
