PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a bathing agent, capable of being used instead of the oral administration of a conventional antiallergic agent and the application of a steroid agent for external use, or in combination therewith, and effective for reducing and removing atopic symptom by including a distillate of bamboos. SOLUTION: This bathing agent contains a distillate of bamboos, obtained by roasting the bamboos such as the one belonging to the genus Phyllostachys such as Phyllostachys bambusoides and Phyllostachys pubescens, and preferably containing >=2% carbon particles. For example, the bamboo distillate is obtained by removing branches and leaves of the bamboos, cutting main trunks into several ten cm to 1.5 m, inserting the cut bamboos into a heating device such as a charcoal kiln having a discharging opening, inserting 10 kg of the branches and leaves based on 300 kg of the trunks therein, roasting the bamboos at >=300 deg.C for 3-4 days to provide a bamboo charcoal, and cooling smoke containing a vapor discharged from the discharging opening. The bathing agent is used by regulating the amount thereof to be about 10 g expressed in terms of the bamboo distillate based on 100 L of a home bathtub, and preferably regulating so that the concentration of the carbon in the bathtub may be 0.01-0.02%. |
