PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nontoxic smoking material, serving also for prohibition of the smoking, capable of eliminating the hazard by the smoking of tobacco, suppressing the smoking, eliminating the tension and stress, releasing a smoker himself from motivation of the smoking such as psychological tension, fretfulness, anger or melancholy and, on the other hand, providing a feeling of the smoking and further medical effects such as antitussive, expectorant and tranquilizing ones. SOLUTION: This smoking material is obtained by adding and mixing 1-10 wt.% thick malt syrup and 0.1-1 wt.% glycerol with a Chinese medicinal material composed of a mixture of powders of Artemisiae Argyi Folium, Mori Cortex, Zizyphi Spinosi Semen, Polygalae Radix, Asiasari Radix, Caryophylli Flos, Cnidii Rhizoma, Evodiae Fructus and Thujae Orientalis Semen with extracts from Arisaematis Rhizoma, Notopterygii Rhizoma and Sinapis Semen, drying the resultant mixture so as to provide 12-13% final moisture content and forming the dried mixture into the shape of tobacco. |
