SOLUTION: This vehicle speed setting device is provided with an operation member 1 accelerating or decelerating a vehicle, an environment detecting means 5 detecting the travel environment of the vehicle, and reaction generating means 3, 4, 6 generating the reaction force corresponding to the travel environment value for the operation of the operation member 1 by a driver. A vehicle speed and acceleration/deceleration suitable for the travel environment such as an inter-vehicle distance and the curvature of a curved road can be easily set. |
